Thanks to Andrew Harvey, Andrea Carvalho, Deputy Mayor Shannie Duff, Mayor Dennis O’Keefe, Envoi Choir, Colleen Power, the Nickel Film Festival, all the wonderful families, volunteers and to RAFT, our barbeque host! The event was a blast, and we hope everyone enjoyed it! The Annual Summer Saunter will begin at St. John’s first Artist-Run Centre… yup! That’s us! You can pick up you saunter guides at Eastern Edge, 72 Harbour Drive on SATURDAY, AUGUST 13!

Eastern Edge is pleased to invite you all to our Art Marathon Festival Family Launch on Sunday August 14th!
This years family launch begins at noon at the gallery with Andrew Harvey stenciling and wall painting. Andrea Carvalho will start her inflatable installation Place de Galo: Moving a Monument, which will be circulating around the city through out the festival. Eastern Edge will be partnering with RAFT for the kick-off community BBQ and there will be performances by Colleen Power and Envoi Choir – a division of Le Rose des Vents Choir. Stick around for a children’s film screening by the Nickel Film Festival at 3:00!
Joining us will be a few members of city council showing there support!

Thesis Sahib/James Kirkpatrick has been contributing to the underground hip hop movement for the past fifteen years. His articulate, rapid-fire delivery, harmonic vocals and imaginative lyrics with circuit-bent electronic toys, compositions written on modified Gameboys, a face mask costume fitted with a heavily effected microphone and circuit-bent sounds have become part of his music and on-stage performances.
Thesis Sahib will be performing at the main launch, August 17th at the Rock House
